As Divya struggles with the strap on her blouse, Raj helps her with it, while she looks at him longingly. When divya says thank you, he tells that her Raj cant do anything that would discomfort her, or put her to shame. He says that she’s looking very beautiful, and her fear has all the morew reddened her cheeks.
He says that like others he too has a gift for her, and gives her a pendant. But when she refuses, he asks her what happened now as she used to be cribbing for gifts all the time earlier. raj reminds that she had said that she’s coming for him, then why cant he take the gift. As divya tries to say that she has to make an urgent call, raj brushes her aside, and tells her to say the truth once and for all. Raj asks whats happeneing as whenever he tries to come close to her, she flinches away, and if there’s something that she’s hiding. Divya finally unable to jerk him off says that he’s married. Raj says that he knew it before. And when the law also doesnt approve of a marriage not beng consummated for 7 years, then why is she hesitant.
Meanwhile the spot boy is looking around for divya, as the chandelier can break anytime. Divya checks her messages and is aware of the status of the chandelier, and gets very tensed. Raj asks what is the matter now. As divya and raj are locked in the same room, divya is very angry. raj asks what is her problem. She says that she has to get out anyhow, as its very important for her to go out right now. as she tries on the lock, saying that she needs to talk to Murti rightaway. Raj asks her to step aside and tries herself and says that it isnt working, as the door might be jammed.
But divya doesnt sit in peace, and shatters the glass window, with a mantelpiece, and Raj immediately concerned for her, cups her head, and hugs her, concerned that she isnt hurt. All are surprised by the sound of glass shattering. Sarita, sees this from outside, through the broken window pane, and is distraught. Sohan and Kamla are revelling in the success of their plan, as its been 15 minutes and they havent come out.
Divya tries to tell her that the chandelier is about to break, but sarita isnt able to understand. But raj ducks sarita out of the chandelier’s way in the nick moment. sarita is overwhelmed to see this. Raj asks what happened, and if anything had happened to her, then he would hve had to live with the guilt that he didnt take proper care of her, when she did so with him. When divya asks if she’s hurt, shiela says that nothing can harm sarita till Raj is with him. Granny says that its the duty of a husband to protect his wife. Raj leaves from there. Granny thanks the lord that sarita is safe. Kamla blames her for this again, and spoiling the function. She asks sarita to clean it all up. Sarita, smiling at her experience, leaves.
Raj remembers the incident, and wonders that one second’s delay would have been fatal to sarita, and remembers Divya’s prophecy, and wonders if its true after all, but then refuses to believe it. Raj wonders if the next 20 days, would be the last of Sarita’s life.
Sarita says to divya, when she expresses at the danger in this plan, that only life must have gone, as if this would get her closer, she would do this willingly again and again. Sarita says that this is the most memorable day of her life, as she saw concern and fear in raj’s love. She goes on to profess her love. Divya says that she has lifetime ahead, and cant do this with her anymore. Divya says that they would come up with a different plan.
But when she turns around, she finds sarita having slit her hand with a glass piece. While all are tensed, raj rushes upto her, and washes her hand in cold water, and sarita is overwhelmed to see his care. When he asks if she’s in pain, she denies, while raj attends to her wounds. Divya is in tears watching all this, thinking what length can sarita go for her love. Finally she looks away, happily.
As sarita and divya are talking in their room about their next course of action, they notice Raj’s fooststeps, and divya makes sarita hide in the room, She opens thew door, and Raj enters saying that he needs to talk. He asks her if she saw what happened, and that could have taken sarita’s life, and maybe the prophecy is true. Divya says that he doesnt believe in this. Raj says that he doesnt but sometimes they arent left with any other option, but to believe it. Raj asks what has sarita seen in her life, as he has spoiled her life for 10 years, and that they have to do something.
Divya tells Raj the story of Savitri who fought for her husband’s life, and that he too can do the same for his wife. She tells raj to love sarita so much that destiny changes, and asks if he can manage this. raj says that he had told her that love can happen just once, and she has done it with him. divya says that love isnt a mistake, that it cant be done now.
She reminds him that he himself has created characters, in dramas who start over. Raj says that he agrees, and if what she’s saying is true, then she should answer a question. Raj asks divya that if love can happen again, then could she do it, or would she be able to do it again. Divya is speechless to hear this. Divya turns away saying that they arent talking about them. Raj says that this isnt her answer, and asks her the same question again, saying that if her answer is yes, then she agrees, and if its no, then the smartness that she’s trying to outwit him, isnt working.
Sarita listens to all this. He makes her swear and asks why she didnt love once again, and left Gaurav at the altar. She looks at him in the eye, and says that love can happen again, and she has seen in mumbai, such relations that start over. She says that after 10 years, a divorced couple gives each other a second chance. raj is confused and surprised at this answer.
Raj is surprised to see such a change in Divya, who believes that love can happen again. Sarita hears all this from hiding. Raj leaves from there, but divya stops him saying that she has answered his questions, then wont he also do the same. She asks why did he go to save sarita. Raj says that it was just humanity. She asks him what would he have felt, had sarits died.
As it is the life that sarita is having, doesnt have any improtance at all, and would he leave her to die, as their relation is hollow. She bore through everything but never responded back, because her entire devotion is for him, and when his love can matter so much, then not Sarita’s 10 years. She places his hand on her head, and asks him if sarita shouldnt also get her rightful place in his life. Raj leaves from there. Sarita comes out and hugs Divya, who wipes away her tears. She apologises for ever doubting her, and being insecure as to make her wear a trinket.
She says that divya surprised her by silencing raj, and that silence gave her hope, that he cares for her death, and that he feels for her. She thanks her for rejuvenating her life again. Divya says that she is bounded by the promises, that she made her, and her only purpose is to get Sarita her love. After sarita leaves happily, Divya breaks down, thinking that Raj should forgive her, as she swore falsely on him, that she can love again, as she has always loved, but she did it only for sarita.
Kamla is blaming sarita for their plan’s failure, and that Raj has begun caring for sarita. Sohan says that this might have been an incident. Sohan says that now they have to ensure that raj and divya should keep crossing each other’s paths, and should spend more time together. Kamla says that they can do something, go out and leave raj and divya together, alone in the house. He rubbishes the idea, and leaves. Kamla makes him wait, and cites a dramatic plan that she has seen in serials. Sohan likes the idea and decides to go to the nearby temple with whole family, and resigns off to sleep.
As sarita is sleeping on the floor, thinking about the care that Raj has started showing her, raj enters, and seeing her, he is reminded of the prophecy. Raj lies down on the bed, thinking about sarita’s recent accidents, confirming to divya’s prophecies. Raj notices that the fan is making more noise than usual and wonders what if this falls on sarita. But then he thinks tht if he closes the fan, it would be warm, and mosquitoes would start biting, and if the prophecy is true, he would have to wake up sarita. He gets up, and makes a gurgling noise, and calls out her name.
But sarits pretends to be asleep. Raj climbs down the bed and comes to her, and calls her name again. But she doesnt respond. Raj hesitatingly touches her, which surprises her and she wakes up. Raj tells her to sleep up, as he would sleep down. sarita says that he has pain in the neck, and wont be able to sleep down. Raj says that he would manage. Sarita says that why is he doing this, as for 10 years she has been sleeping here only. Raj says that it was different earlier. Sarita asks what is different from what it was earlier, with a longing look in the eye. He asks her not to argue and sleep up.
She asks what about him. He goes silently and sleeps on one side of the bed. Sarita is overjoyed and yet surprised at the propspect of sleeping with Raj on the same bed. While Raj closes his eyes, sarita gets on the bed, and sleeps on her side of the bed. Raj adjusts his pillow, with his back towards sarita’s face. Sarita is in introspection and smiling, and sleeps herself too with her back turned towards him. He switches off the lights, but sleep is far from any of them. Bith think about the recent turn their lives have taken. raj fidgets with the necklace that he had got for Divya. They both finally drift off to sleep.
The next morning, Kamla is working in the kitchen busily, and escaping everyone’s eyes, she mixes a powder into the Kheer, thinking that once Divya eats this, she would be in Raj’s arms, and sohan would be very happy with her. Sundari comes in and finds her super excited. she asks what happened. Kamla asks her not to bother. While she goes with the kheer, she instructs sundari, not to touch her stuff, while she would just return. Sundari is surprised.
Divya asks sarita whats the reason for such a bright smile on her face. As she blushingly tells about last night, that after 10 years, they slept on the same bed, Divya is tensed but she puts on a brave smiling face, so that sarita isnt tensed. She is gloating about how much she had waited for this night, and couldnt sleep at all, and always felt like just watching him, lie a feet away. She says that Raj has started caring for her, as he didnt let her sleep on the flor. She thanks divya for doing the impossible, as raj has changed and he’s doing what he never did. Divya gets emotional and says that she’s very happy for her. Sarita leaves, while divya is very tensed. The screen freezes on her sad face.
