It’s been all about signing new players at Chelsea this season, with five players in through the door for the senior squad so far.
Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Marc Cucurella have all arrived into the immediate first team squad, and Gabriel Slonina was signed and then loaned straight back to his club, Chicago Fire.
More arrivals are also expected, but Chelsea are also working on outgoings now to balance things up and make room in the squad, as well as clear up some of the wage bill.
Timo Werner is one of those on some pretty big wages, and it looks like they will soon be removed, as soon as today actually.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Werner to RB Leipzig on a permanent deal will be completed today, with a full agreement being reached with all parties. Romano confirms it will not be a loan deal, and Werner will rejoin his old team permanently.
