Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour surprisingly given a new squad number

In some developments that might mean something, or might not mean anything at all, a Chelsea midfielder who had yet to be given a squad number, has now been given one on the Premier League website.

This means Chelsea would have registered him as a player and handed him a number with the league.

Billy Gilmour was yet to have a number, but as seen in the image below, now he has been given the number 35.

As I say, this could mean nothing at all and he might still be sold or loaned this window. But it’s interesting all the same.
