Born Shokoya Oluwasegunfunmi, a creative Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter in his 28th year, rose to fame with davolee.
davolee was born and raised in Isolo, a town in Lagos State, Nigeria, despite being an Ogun State native. davolee, born in 1995 on May 18th, gained notoriety during a freestyle “Festival Bar.”
Career
Due to his inability to pay for his education, davolee started pursuing his passion for music at a young age and gave it his full attention.
Before the rise of his name, davolee, he sold pure water in Lagos' Mushin neighborhood.
While peddling pure, he was frequently spotted freestyling and posting videos to his Instagram account. However, his big break came when he covered Desiigner's hit song “Panda” in his style.
The talented artist's life began to alter, and his profession improved.
Then, Davolee performed a well-known freestyle called “Festival Bar,” which quickly gained popularity. Olamide promptly called him and formally announced his contract to YBNL on November 12th, 2016, via his Instagram page.
After appearing in one of Olamide's many radio-friendly hits, “Pepper Dem Gang,” Davolee took up residence in the hearts of music fans.
He continued to release singles under the YBNL label, including Python.
Davolee & YBNL Issues
The media reported on April 27, 2019, that Davolee had quit YBNL and moved on with his life since he didn't get along with the label's YBNL boss, Olamide.
According to his Instagram posts, there was speculation about a conflict between the two performers.
Then, he was spotted flaunting the “New Nation Muzik” record label, proclaiming that he had entered the next stage of his career.
It was widely believed that his leaving was because he didn't like how YBNL managed him.

The gifted musician Davolee, who was signed to New Nation Muzik, released “Way” with much airplay and positive reception from music fans.
After that, he released other projects, including the song “Lock Up” with zlatan Ibile.
Davolee is doing well with his new record company, “New Nation Muzik.”
