On Tuesday evening, Zlatan Ibile, published a statement addressing the xenophobic violence against Nigerians in South Africa.

Reacting to the development on his Twitter handle, Zlatan said:


“Deep down my heart, I feel sad on the situation of things and happenings. Violence is never a solution but rather chaos . My people let’s pray and hope people in power handle the situation on ground �”

Following the release of the statement, the singer came under fire for having a couple of errors in the grammar.

Some Nigerians instead of overlooking and or correct his blunder have chosen to take a swipe at the rapper.

Meanwhile, Zlatan has turned the negative energy into an income as he teased a single about motivated by the event.

While currently in Abuja, the rapper took to his Twitter account, @Zlatan_Ibile and posted a video of himself jamming to a song. His caption read, “New music #EnglishTeacher.” According to the rapper, the song will be produced by H.E.C.

Over the past week, the rapper currently in Abuja for the Trace In The City visit to the University of Abuja had promoted a song titled, ‘Bolanle.’ It belongs to IVD and was produced by Phantom.

If released, ‘English Teacher’ will be Zlatan’s second major solo single of 2019 after ‘This Year.’
