Zaha vs Ziyech: Goals, Assists and Overall Gameplay Stats from 2021/22 Season
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, as the Ivorian has just one year left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

The Blues could also lose Hakim Ziyech in the coming days, as Ajax are interested in the Moroccan and see him as a replacement for Antonio.

Chelsea want to strengthen their attack after losing Tim Werner and Romelu Lukaku during the season and therefore opted for Zaha during the last days of the transfer window.

How are Zaha and Ziyech compared over the past year and would Chelsea have made a wise decision to let go of the former Ajax player and bring in the Crystal Palace striker?

Zaha and Ziyech comparison:

Ziyech scored eight goals and six assists last season, while Zaha scored 15 goals and four assists, showing that he was more offensive last season.

In terms of key assists per game, Zaha contributed 0.49 last season, while Ziyech contributed 0.91, suggesting that the Chelsea player is much more creative.

Ziyech is also more likely to be creative on the pitch and has an average of 2.8 crosses per game, while Zaha stands at 1.38, although factors must be taken into account as Zaha has played more minutes.

Only Harry Kane and Son (15) have scored more goals in the 2022 Premier League than Wilfried Zaha (12).

In terms of shots, Ziyech takes more shots, averaging 2.3 per game, while Zaha takes 1.7 – and the Moroccan also shoots more on target and from greater distances.

What Chelsea will do during the rest of the window remains to be seen, but they have two good options at their disposal and both would be worth considering
