After a slow start, Chelsea are now moving quickly in the transfer market, and that applies as much to their youth team as their first team.
Omari Hutchinson just joined the youngsters, making the switch from Arsenal where his contract had expired.
Next up is “wonderkid” Zak Sturge, who has been linked with us for a couple of weeks. According to Nizaar Kinsella in the Evening Standard, that transfer will be completed within 24 hours.
Zak Sturge is set to complete his transfer to Chelsea in the next 24 hours. All fully wrapped up today and another big signing for the academy.

The England U18 star has been brilliant at Brighton, and will now get the chance to play in a youth team with a very obvious pathway – usually via a few loans – to the very top.
It’s a risky move from the kid, who is more likely to get minutes at Brighton in the short term – but we love the ambition.
It’s all part of a very obvious strategic effort to reinforce a depleted youth team, which only saved itself from relegation in the final minute of last season.
