Agu was born into a family of seven, comprising her parents and five siblings. She studied Creative Arts briefly at the University of Lagos and later, moved to the University of Abuja where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts. Afterward, she studied Acting for Film and Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, Hollywood branch.
She joined several drama clubs at every level while she was growing up. As a five-year-old, she discovered she could draw, sculpt, dance, and sing and was able to mimic people. Since then, her life has revolved around one art/drama event or the other.
Education
Padita Agu had a brief stint as a student at the University of Lagos studying creative arts before switching to the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) in the nation’s capital, where she completed and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts.
Furthermore, she studied an Acting and Film Making course at the prestigious New York Film Academy, Hollywood Branch, located in the United States of America.
Career
Padita’s acting career kicked off professionally in 2002 when she got a role as a nurse in a movie titled Formidable Force which was directed by Teco Benson. It was her first-ever audition in Lagos.
She came into the limelight after starring in the popular Nigerian horror movie, Egg Of Life where she acted alongside Nollywood veterans like Clarion Abiola, Ebele Okaro, Pete Edochie, and many others.

Personal Life
Padita Agu is a single mother. She was married to an unidentified man before they got divorced three years into the marriage.
In an interview, the renowned actress revealed that the marriage to her ex-husband was like a “living hell” for her. She even contemplated taking her own life at some point.
