In her most recent music video, Tori Kelly seems carefree. The singer can be heard assertively saying, “You ain’t get this love from nobody else” as she dances the night away in the “cut” video, which was released on Thursday, August 10. The dynamic video is directed by Courtney Phillips and features Kiana Ledé and Ashley Graham.
The 30-year-old and her group are the focus of attention everywhere they go, be it a bargain store, a restaurant, or the dance floor of a club.
“cut” is the second single from the California native’s most recent EP, which was released in July. “Missin U” was released in March.
The two-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist of her new age told Elite Daily, “There’s more to it. The sound on “Missin’ U” is undoubtedly one of the ideas that seeped into the project.
“We were influenced by hip-hop, namely from the late 1990s, and R&B is unquestionably a huge source of inspiration for me. I’m addressing all these various musical facets of my career, but at the same time, I’m in a new musical phase and there is still so much to learn.
According to VIBE, the seven-track EP explores several genres as the singer “floats between R&B, afrobeats, and pop.” Jon Bellion and Arya Starr are featured.
